1. Not a Private School
CDF Academy is not a private school. We are a homeschool enrichment program operated by Comunidad de Fe Ministries, Inc. We are not licensed, accredited, or recognized by the State of Florida or any accrediting body as a private school. We do not issue accredited diplomas, official transcripts, report cards, grade point averages, or class rankings. Any documentation we provide to families is supplementary to — and not a substitute for — the documentation parents themselves maintain as the legal educator of record.
2. Not a Public School
We are not a public school, charter school, magnet school, or virtual school. We receive no public funding. Enrollment in our program does not satisfy compulsory attendance requirements except as part of a family's bona fide home education program under Florida Statute 1002.41.
3. Not a Daycare or Childcare Facility
We are not a licensed childcare facility or daycare. We do not hold a Florida Department of Children and Families childcare license. We do not provide before-care, after-care, extended care, drop-in care, or any form of custodial supervision outside of scheduled program hours. Parents must drop off and pick up students at scheduled times and remain reachable throughout the program day.
4. Parental Responsibility
Parents enrolling their children in CDF Academy remain the legal educator of record and are fully responsible for:
- Filing the annual letter of intent to establish and maintain a home education program with their county school district under Florida Statute 1002.41.
- Maintaining a portfolio of educational records as required by Florida law.
- Completing the annual evaluation requirement (teacher evaluation, standardized test, or other approved method).
- All decisions about curriculum, instructional methods, and educational goals for their children.
- Compliance with all applicable state, county, and local laws governing home education in their jurisdiction.
5. No Guarantee of Educational Outcomes
While we work diligently to provide high-quality enrichment instruction and support, we make no guarantee of specific educational outcomes, academic achievements, standardized test scores, college admissions, or future success. Educational outcomes depend on many factors beyond our control, including the student's effort, the parent's at-home instruction, and individual learning differences.
6. Religious Nature
CDF Academy is an explicitly Christian program. Our instruction, chapel, scripture memory, and program culture reflect historic, evangelical Christian beliefs as expressed in our statement of faith. Families enrolling in our program acknowledge and agree to this religious context. We do not provide religious accommodations contrary to our statement of faith.
